PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Robert Aho is a licensed Architect in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Although residential project types are the most numerous in his portfolio, Robert also has a wide range of successful experience in commercial, multi-family and institutional project types. He is gaining a reputation for being rather artistic and sculptural with his designs; yet, the real beginning to his career was within the lumber industry and with builders in the field. There is a pragmatism to the work that seems timeless. This Architect knows how to build with his hands and to successfully administer new possibilities.

With this Master Builder attitude towards Architecture, Robert Aho is applying ideas of organic architecture, new urbanism, green architecture and regional architecture in innovative ways. Robert is also educated as an Anthropologist. This has led to some focus in Native American Architecture, in Scandinavian Architecture and Regionally, in Architecture that comes from the very rich cultural heritage of the Lake Superior Region and the Upper Midwest.
